Acupuncture Close Up

"There is unlimited potential for abundance of joy and health in our lives!"

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a traditional Eastern medical therapy that has been in existence for thousands of years. This effective form of healthcare has evolved into a complete and holistic medical system. Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine have used this centuries old, non-invasive medical system to diagnose and help millions of people get well and stay healthy. The goal of Eastern medicine is to find the pattern of disharmony, the root cause, and resolve the imbalance by treating the whole body. This allows the innate healing mechanism of the body to take over and encourages the body back to its natural state of balance or homeostasis.

Facts about Acupuncture

An estimated five million Americans visit acupuncture practitioners annually. Scientific research methods, clinical studies, and highly acclaimed peer reviewed journals such as The Journal of New England Medicine are systematically publishing studies about acupunctures as valuable method of healing along side Western medicine. Both National Institute of Health (NIH) and World Health Organization (WHO) also recognize acupuncture as an option for many clinical conditions.
Acupuncture is one of the fastest growing modalities among the Physicians of Western Medicine!

In a 1997 NIH conference, it was concluded that acupuncture showed promising results in treating conditions such as addiction, headache, fibromyalgia, low back pain,  carpal tunnel syndrome, asthma, stroke rehabilitation, and osteoarthritis.

The WHO states that acupuncture has been shown to be effective in relieving postoperative pain, nausea during pregnancy, nausea and vomiting resulting from chemotherapy, dental pain, anxiety, panic disorders, insomnia, impotence, infertility, PMS, PID, vaginitis, irregular periods, and digestive disorders.
