Rumi Rose Persian Tea

$20.00

This tea is the gift of a lifelong search

A magnificent blend of high quality Ceylon black tea leaves with a touch of Bergamot, and two essential Middle Eastern scents: cardamom pods and dried rose petals - the organic rose petals in this tea are harvested from our garden in Connecticut.

Some forty years ago, my mother planted a damask rose cutting that had been brought by a friend from Iran in the 1960’s. Using her renowned green thumb and skills she had learned in her home village Babari, in the Urmieh region of Iran, my mother cultivated that single branch into a hundred bushes.

The damask Rose (Rosa Damascena) is celebrated for its intoxicating delicate aroma and versatility, finding use in both cooking and medicine.

With each sip, close your eyes and inhale the exquisite aroma of this tea blend, letting it transport you to distant lands of tea, roses, and Rumi's poems, rich with messages of oneness and love.

Directions:

Place 1 teaspoon of loose tea per cup or 1 tablespoon of loose tea per medium tea pot, fill with boiling water, let it sit for 5 min. Remove infuser from cup or strain tea as you pour. If the tea color seems dark, add more hot water to your tea cup. You can sweeten it with honey to taste.

May this tea nourish your soul.

Available in a tin or 3 oz bag.
